What Next?

Whilst in the third year of my studies, it is difficult to try and progress with my journalism in addition to obtaining my degree at UCL. However, I have plenty of interesting article and interviews in the pipeline over the coming month.

Recently, I interviewed Ed Stoner, a friend from University who became a football agent in East Africa during his gap year. The article from the interview will appear in the next edition of Pi Newspaper and online (I will put the link on here when published). Moreover, I hope for this article will be published elsewhere and I am currently in contact with other football blogs.

I am looking to publish my article with Sullee J on a number of hip-hop websites, as I really liked the artist and wish to give both him and myself further exposure. I have interviews lined up with Torae and Euro League, who are both American rappers. The interviews will appear online, be featured on our radio show and I will be writing up a follow up article.

I am in contact with ‘Cardiac Risk in the Young’ Deputy Chief Executive, Steve Cox, and will be soon to do an interview and article with him about the cardiac risk and sport. I am extremely passionate about this as I was screened recently by the charity and have been amazed at their voluntary work.

Finally and perhaps most significantly, I managed to secure a phone interview with former Olympic Champion and 2012 Silver Medalist, Christine Ohuruogu, which took place yesterday. Chrissy completed the same degree as I am currently undertaking at UCL (graduating in 2005) and was extremely interested in talking to me about her time at UCL. Through this I will be doing an article for Pi and hopefully branching out to major athletics websites!

All will be posted on here.. Enjoy the blog!
